Fidget Spinners...uugggghhh

Whenever there is a new fad, teachers are usually thrown onto the frontline of duty to either help nurture it, or STOP it! Often, we are faced with a losing battle, we over come the obstacle with a "if you can't beat them....then join them" approach. So recently, we were effected by Hurricane Irma. Left without power, our children were about to drive us insane! So I let my daughter pull out that dreadful....Fidget Spinner (that her God-father so lovingly purchased for her). I put a twist on it though... to keep her busy, I told her that in order to use it she would need to create new moves (ways to spin it). She would need to write clear and concise directions (a standard they must master in 3rd grade)and be able to demonstrate the move based SOLELY on the directions she had written. Needless to say this took multiple revisions and TIME (which meant she was worrying me to death about being "bored"). So try this out and let me know what you think!
